Play locally or via remote play with 2 to 10 split-screen players and battle it out in this twin-stick shooter. Collect the most coins to win. The twist: In a fixed loop, copies of you appear that repeat exactly what you did. Plan to let them provide suppressive fire and be careful not to shoot your past- or future-self in the back.

This explains the name: Repeating Robots! All actions you take are repeated exactly by your copies. They spawn at the same time for all players in time-loops of a fixed duration. You will have an army of your past selves that repeat everything you did. This makes things tricky: If you forget what you did, your copies can end up shooting you in the back. But your past selves can also shoot your future enemies. So be clever and use them to your advantage!

Lay down suppressive fire and then engage your opponent. Your copy will support you by repeating the same spray at where you predicted your opponent to be. All collectibles respawn at the same time as you. Collect a coin and your copy will collect the same coin in a automated chain to increase your score. Shoot a copy of another player and every copy of you will shoot every copy of them in the same way. That is, unless they come back to prevent their supply of copies being lost.

Your copies also serve as your respawn points. When you are destroyed, you change to your oldest copy that is still alive. You then rewrite your history do from that point onward. If all your copies are destroyed you have to respawn at your base, so take care to protect them. One way to do this is by using the shield powerup.

Ropeat has numerous attack, defense and meele powerups. Gain the upper hand by using rockets and shields to improve your map control. Your followers do the same - unless someone steals the powerup first and alters the past or uses their minigun to shoot down your rocket.

We offer two game modes: one balanced for casual fun and the other for deeper strategic thinking. 

• In the casual gamemode, you can quickly start a match with new players and dive into the chaos. Coins are collected instantly and your stats are balances for couch-versus chaos.

• In the strategic mode, coins need to be carried back to your base. You can pass coins to future or past selves. Outwit your opponents and establish an automated chain of copies to collect the most coins.

You can play with 2 to 10 players locally. The maps scale dynamically to match the number of players.

• Play against one friend with your keyboard or host a game night with up to 10 people on a big screen.

• No need for a ton of controllers: the game supports two players per controller/keyboard.

• Supports Steam Remote-Play, so buy one copy and play with your friends online.

• Players can even join and leave during a match, making this a perfect game to start when some friends are running late.

• Tired of screaming at each other? Try working together or playing solo against a team of bots.

We are a four person hobbyist team consisting of a creative musician and three developers with an average of eight years experience in coding games.

• Being completely independent with no publisher, we develop with only the players’ interest in mind and are open to your input and feedback.
