- The opening section of the story, from Thomas Parris' old house, until you clear the fog to access the second area of Centreville.

- First encounters with cursed ghosts.

- Reveal the past using the magic lantern.

- Object inspection and simple point-and-click puzzles.

- Start your investigations by collecting notes and hints in your diary.
