The complete soundtrack featuring all the music from Henry Halfhead created by Lucien Guy Montandon.

Lucien:
"Over the last three years, the soundtrack for Henry Halfhead came together through a playful and personal process. This time I wanted to take a more natural approach: recording live drums and leaning into my love for FM sounds. One highlight was rediscovering my rare Synergy DK synthesizer, which had been collecting dust for years. Alongside the Roland SH-101 and my drum kit, it shaped a mix that feels both groovy and nostalgic. I also recorded vocals without lyrics — playful na-na-nas and la-la-las — to add a vocal texture that mirrors the game’s whimsical spirit.

A big challenge was building the adaptive music, where stems change dynamically depending on gameplay activity. You can experience this music across different levels of the game: if you do nothing, the soundtrack shifts into a very reduced, almost soundscape-like version of the song if you possess a lot of objects the music get more intense.

At the same time, I wrote linear pieces, such as tracks for the in-game radio, which gave me the chance to explore different styles — and honestly, who hasn’t dreamed of composing music for an in-game radio?

In the end, I hope the soundtrack captures the chaotic, groovy, and playful spirit of Henry Halfhead, while reflecting both my musical identity and my personal journey during its creation.
