What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Releasing into Early Access before a 1.0 launch allows us to get community feedback and ideas for improvements and focus. We look forward to engaging with the community and incorporating many more features before 1.0.

JJC releasing in its current early BETA state lets us:

- Confirm bugs and errors have been corrected or if they persist between patches and updates
- Try new ideas and get feedback from players
- Refine graphics, add music and sound effects, and overhaul quality of life aspects
- Plan the addition of new features and updates
- Get a better idea how the game runs on various supported devices and operating system versions”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We expect that JJC™ will be in Early Access until 2026.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Our plan for the full release of the game is for it to be a polished experience where players have more to do and more customization options.
Features marked as [Exploratory] are planned but may not be feasible and therefore may not be implemented.
Features marked as [Considering] are things we are testing and that may be implemented in a future update, but that might be removed or altered based on our plans for the game, resources, and player feedback.
1.0+ means that these features are planned to launch with 1.0 or to be included in a post-1.0 update. All features are subject to change.
Our current planned features for 1.0+ are as follows:

-------------[ 1.0 + ]-------------
- A stylized digital game guide
- Window viewing photo events
- More custom music and sound effects
- More outfits
- More NPCs and NPC dialogue
- Additional launcher features
- Refined graphical assets
- Interface improvements
- More variety in food items
- Food Animations [Considering]
- Player Idle Animations [Considering]
- More player room options
- Music Lounge area with dynamic timed events
- Special / secret events
- New resort area(s)
- OST and Game Art Book
- Pets
- New game(s)
- More OS options (Mac, Linux) [Exploratory]
- Steam Achievements [Exploratory]
- Steam Cloud Saving [Exploratory]
- Something super cool related to customization
- [ TOP SECRET ]”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game is at EA BETA development. In its current state it is fully playable with few or minor bugs and errors. Saves persist between play sessions, the launcher works as intended; saves can be exported and imported. The game generally runs smoothly with little to no graphical issues. Events largely work as intended. There are some elements that lack refinement in this stage such as lack of diverse NPCs and NPC dialogue, lack of planned customization options, less custom music and sound effects, and so forth.

In the current version of the game there are several features and gameplay options (this list is not exhaustive):

- A game launcher that allows players to export/import saves
- Two player models "M" and "F"
- 3 skin tone options for each player model
- 3 total unlockable outfits for "F" characters
- An introduction sequence
- Five different casino games: Slots, Blackjack 21, Roulette, Keno, and Virtual Horse Race Betting
- An "Information Counter" in-game to explain certain concepts and progression to players
- Custom music and sound effects
- A custom UI and main menu
- Player rooms
- Consumable items (food)
- In-game achievements (trophies)
- Real-time events (based on system time)
- NPCs, some with dialogue, some that are interactable ”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The price of the game will change with a slight increase after early access has concluded. ”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We will consider user feedback, reviews, and bug reports in order to implement fixes for issues, address concerns, and to bring a fun and casual experience to players.
Please reach out to us on Steam Forums, or on our social medias: Facebook page - SHARP SET LLC, and on Twitter @SHARPSETSOCIAL.”

[ FAQ ]

Q: What gameplay is there in JUPITER JACKPOT™?

A: The gameplay is centered around playing versions of popular games such as Blackjack 21, Roulette, and so forth. The player controls their character and interacts with game machines, shops, and other items and interfaces. There's no real goal, just have fun!

Q: Are there customization options?

A: Yes, there are! Current features allow players to choose some different skin colors, outfits, and room styles. Right now, we're in the middle of adding more of these options and planning out a super fun customization feature, though it might not be ready until 1.0. Stay tuned.

Q: What is the premise?

A: The premise of JJC™ is that your character has gone to a resort in orbit of the planet Jupiter, where there are tons of fun games to play and things to see and do from events to collectables! There isn't a fixed story line, but there is an introduction sequence and there are some cool events to check out. Some events are planned for future updates and others for 1.0+.

Q: Are there achievements?

A: Yes, there are in-game achievements for things such as getting jackpots on machines and other uncommon events. Steam achievements are on the roadmap, as we know they are important to many players. However, their inclusion will depend on technical feasibility and available resources. We appreciate your understanding and will share updates as we work on implementation.

Q: The pixel font is difficult for me to read, can I choose a different font?

A: We do have font options! A normal, sans serif font is included by default to make it easier to read things in-game. Menu options however are image-based, and therefore retain their font styles, though a basic menu is also available which will use the font you choose in the options.

Q: How do the controls work?

A: JJC™ has keyboard and mouse support, along with controller compatibility, and touch control for devices with touch screens. There is no custom binding, we wanted to include this, but it conflicted with the build of the game. The controls are very simple, so don't worry about needing to bind or re-bind anything.

Q: How do I report a bug or issue with the game or launcher?

A: Please make bug reports here on Steam.
