What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Frenzy Freak Fantasy is a systems-driven game built around unstable economies, permanent consequences, and emergent strategies.
In a game where player behavior directly stresses and reshapes the core systems, real player feedback is essential.

Early Access allows us to iterate alongside the community—testing balance, refining mechanics, and expanding content based on how players actually interact with the game. Many of the most interesting builds, failures, and economic collapses only appear at scale, and Early Access lets us learn from those moments early.

Our goal is to use this process to build a deeper, more resilient experience than we could achieve alone.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We currently expect Frenzy Freak Fantasy to remain in Early Access for around 2 years.
This timeframe allows us to deliver steady, meaningful updates while refining existing systems rather than rushing toward a “finished” label.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Throughout Early Access, we plan to significantly expand the game in both scale and depth.
Planned additions include:

New freak types, factions, and enemy behaviors

Expanded progression systems and build options

Additional cards, synergies, and economy interactions

More maps, events, and long-term challenges

Further polish, balance passes, and performance improvements

The full version is intended to feel richer, more unpredictable, and more dangerous—without losing the clarity of the core systems.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version already offers a complete playable experience centered on large-scale battles, resource management, and roguelike decision-making.

Players can:

Fight endless freak hordes

Build and sustain a living economy

Experiment with card-based builds and synergies

Manage unstable systems where failure is part of the design

While the game will continue to grow, the core gameplay loop is fully implemented and playable.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We may increase the price slightly once Frenzy Freak Fantasy leaves Early Access, reflecting the additional content and improvements added during development.
Players who join early will receive the full version at no additional cost.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community feedback plays a central role in development.
We actively monitor discussions, feedback, and suggestions through:

Steam Community forums

Discord

We regularly use player feedback to guide balance changes, prioritize features, and shape future updates. Early Access is not just about adding content—it’s about building the game together with the people playing it.”

About This Game

Endless freak hordes want your property.

Your own army wants a paycheck.

The battlefield produces resources.Enemy bodies produce souls.Friendly bodies do too.

Collect everything. Feed it into your economy. Power demon summoning towers, reinforce defenses, and keep the system running at all costs. Loyalty is temporary. Souls are forever.

Your defenses are not fire-and-forget. Towers consume resources continuously, upgrades raise maintenance costs, and growth only makes the system more fragile.

Spend too little, and the line breaks.Spend too much, and the economy collapses.

When the numbers stop working, everything else follows.

Each run presents new card-based choices that reshape your strategy. Stack absurd synergies, break the rules, or accidentally build an economy that eats itself alive.

Some builds dominate. Some builds implode. All of them are temporary.

The freak hordes keep coming.Your income fluctuates.Your army keeps dying.

Survive long enough to grow powerful—but not so long that the system becomes impossible to sustain.
