Castles & Castellans blends two genres: real-time strategy and third-person action.

From the castle view (RTS), you command your subjects-gather resources, manage the economy, and construct fortifications to prepare for incoming threats.

From the castellan view (TPP), you step directly into the role of the lord of the castle, leading from the front as you fight alongside your soldiers atop the walls you built.

Your first challenge is building a strong economy:

  • Chop wood in the surrounding forests.

  • Mine stone for walls and upgrades.

  • Trade in the marketplace, turning resources into gold to recruit and equip your forces.

Expand your domain with essential structures:

  • Upgrade the keep to unlock advanced technologies and defenses.

  • Raise cottages to house more workers.

  • Construct barracks to recruit soldiers and strengthen your army.

Prepare for relentless assaults by fortifying your stronghold:

  • Erect wooden palisades or stone walls to resist ever-stronger enemies.

  • Climb the battlements and command your men to rain arrows and fire on attackers.

  • Face off against bandits, raiders, and organized armies determined to bring down your castle.

Castles & Castellans is currently in Early Access. The game includes two standalone maps, each offering around two hours of playtime. A full campaign mode with additional maps, progression, and new features is planned for future updates.
