In the aftermath of the Worldwound, the kingdoms of Kalar struggle to rebuild, while a dark force quietly prepares for a return to power. Welcome to the immersive world of SGS Burning Banners, the computer adaptation to the SGS engine of the famous Compass Games tabletop fantasy board game Burning Banners: Rage of the Witch Queen, ready to transport you to the heart of Kalar and put your strategic skills to the ultimate test!

In the five centuries since the Wound was closed, the kingdoms of Kalar have struggled to rebuild their shattered societies. A resurgent Empire spread across the great sea, bringing civilization to the untamed eastern continent of Kheros. But Lilith, one of the immortal sorcerers responsible for the Worldwound, arrived first, preparing the way for the return of her dark mistress. For nearly six hundred years she has plotted and schemed. In 588 (2023 Gregorian), the wait is over.

SGS Burning Banners is the port of the fantasy wargame of same name. Fast playing and intuitive, it will contain all of the original scenarios from the boardgame, starting with short campaigns with 2 Kingdoms and one portion of the map, to the entire 12-year war, in which all the 6 kingdoms battle over a large world (the four maps of the boardgame).

The SGS rules and system have been adapted to include all of the boardgame basic rules as well as  the advanced mechanics covering Magic, Heroes, and Monsters guarding powerful treasures.

Design and illustratation by acclaimed fantasy artist, Christopher Moeller have been kept and adjusted to fit with SGS engine.

Therefore the game is a most faithful visual and conceptual adaptation of the boardgame to the SGS engine. Advantages of the digital game cover of course extensive fog-of-war, automatic battle resolutions, easy management of economics, AI control of non-player elements, dozens of cards and events, and an unmatched heroic-fantasy atmosphere.
