Yaarmi Tycoon Progress Update

Hey everyone! 👋

It’s been a while since we last released a game update on Steam, and we want to explain why: we’ve been rewriting a big part of the core code. This will allow us to properly implement the components shop and, more importantly, set up a solid foundation for adding many more improvements inside the game.

Because of this work, the new features we announced during Yaarmi Live will start to appear in the coming weeks inside Yaarmi Tycoon.

Here’s a quick look at where we are right now:

🔹 We’ve already rewritten the internal logic system, making it easier and more stable to develop future improvements.
🔹 We’re currently working on the implementation of components, which is a key part of upcoming content.
🔹 Over the past couple of days we’ve taken a short 1–2 day break to run a UI design session. Before diving deeper into coding, we want to define exactly how the interface should look and behave, ensuring that logic and design blend together as smoothly as possible.

This step won’t just make the game clearer and more enjoyable to use — it will also lay the groundwork for some future surprises 🎉.

❌ Removed Upgrades:

• Peripherals (no longer available as an upgrade).

🖼️ Interface & Usability

• The upgrade interface now scales proportionally to the screen resolution (98% * 70%).

• Improved playability across different screen types.

🐛 Bug Fixes

• YT-0001: Fixed a bug that prevented buying upgrades if you had exactly the required amount of money (was incorrectly showing “insufficient funds”).

🧪 Current Game Status

• Economy values and timers are still under balancing.

• UI and visuals remain provisional.

• Player feedback is essential for upcoming improvements.

📢 Alpha System in Yaarmi Tycoon

Hi everyone!
We’d like to explain how the alpha system works in Yaarmi Tycoon, so you know what to expect from each update and how to read the version numbers.

🔢 Version Naming

All versions follow this format:
x.x.x-alpha

• First number (x.0.0-alpha) → Current main version of the game.

• Second number (0.x.0-alpha) → Experimental version in development for the next major update.

• Third number (0.0.x-alpha) → Quick hotfix versions that solve urgent bugs.

👉 Example: 0.1.0-alpha
This means we’re currently working toward the future 1.0.0-alpha, and many features or implementations may still change.

🛠️ Important

• All releases are alphas, which means content and systems may change at any time.

• Updates are automatic and mandatory for all players.

📅 Release Frequency

• Main versions: at most once per week, but usually every 2–3 weeks (sometimes longer).

• Development versions: every 1–2 weeks, but only if there isn’t a main version that same week.

• Bugfix patches: released as soon as the issue is solved.

This initial alpha sets the foundation for video uploading, money management, and upgrade systems. Here's what's new:

• Added a working loading screen.

• Includes a progress bar showing load status.

💰 Money & Earnings System

• Money system is now active.

• You earn money every time a video is uploaded, based on your current upgrades.

📤 Video Upload System

• A video is automatically uploaded every 20 to 50 seconds.

• Upload system includes:

  • When the video finishes uploading, money is added according to your current video earnings.

• Introduced the Computer component, featuring 4 individual upgrades:

🔧 Component Upgrade Mechanics

• Each upgrade has its own progression system with:

  • Level: Displays current level and total available levels.

  • Earnings per video:

    • Shows current earnings for that upgrade.

    • Shows how much will be added in the next level.

  • Upgrade cost: Shows the amount of money required to unlock the next level.

• ⚠️ Note: Upgrades do not take effect immediately. The new earnings only apply after the next video is uploaded.

• Once an upgrade reaches its maximum level, it will display:

  • Current level / max level

  • Final fixed video earnings for that upgrade

🧪 Current Game State

• This version focuses on testing the core progression and economy logic.

• Values, timers, and rewards will be balanced in future updates.

• UI and visuals are placeholders and will be improved.
