What Is This Game?

Slash through enemies in a stylish sci-fi side scroller where weapons combo like butter.

Genre: A 2.5D hack-and-slash side scroller. The inspiration comes from Super Smash Bros Melee, a game I have played for 11 years and feel strongly for with its camera perspective. 

Core features: Fast-paced combat with scalability in builds and weapon style combinations with dual weilding and multiple weapon slots.

Combo system inspired by NieR: Automata with multiple weapon slots combined with directional attacks from Super Smash Bros.

Sci-fi ninja aesthetic with hand-crafted levels. Set in a computer stylized world with hologram enemies etc.

The game started out as a project in game development school and I stuck with it and it grew to become something I really liked to work on! I would really like to keep doing that. 

Gameplay Highlights

Combo Weapon Switching – Mix melee combat with ranged attacks, combined with dashing movement.

Different Weapons combinations– Use either dual weilding or more ranged attacks or perhaps a launcher weapon that shoots the enemy into the air for follow up attacks.

Designed Levels – Hand-built levels. With platforming and traversal.

Upgrades & Builds – Modify your style with upgrade chips! The upgrade chips can increase attributes such as max health or max damage to improve your character and weapons!

The World & Story

You are a cyber ninja clone that is training enemies that get stronger! How far can you get? What is your purpose? Where did it all start? The answers lie in the road before you.

To beat the enemy and to escape this never ending cycle you must overcome them to gain your freedom. 

Development Roadmap

Vertical slice is done.

Now it's time to build the rest of the games levels. Most of the systems are in place but I need to make more weapons enemies, bosses and levels. This needs funding.

8 Worlds with estimated 7 levels in each with a boss level at the end of each world. 

Working through the levels one at a time with a predicted final build at April 2026.
