Characteristic Game Loop

Investigate —> Negotiate —> Discuss —> Publish

A gameplay loop where you reason and take responsibility for your reasoning results (whether right or wrong).

The sales volume of news will change the funding for the next investigation, and the amount of funding will directly change the difficulty of your investigation.

Investigation System with Tabletop RPG Elements

Each department member has their own strengths and weaknesses, and you need to assign members to various locations for investigation according to the situation.

Sending different members to different locations may yield very different clues.

In addition, characters also have their own inherent skills.

Able to detect lies in each other's words, able to see traces left by the supernatural, able to pass all strength checks... Discover the skills of the members and use them rationally, which will make your investigation twice as effective with half the effort.

Elaborate Negotiation System

In order to obtain information, it is inevitable to negotiate with various characters.

This is where the negotiation system comes into play.

Each negotiable character can have up to three attributes: Patience, Argument, and Hostility.

When a character's patience is exhausted, he will refuse to negotiate with the members.

At this point, if no special means are used, no more information can be obtained from him.

Argument represents the character's degree of support for a certain viewpoint, and there may be multiple arguments.

Hostility represents the character's degree of cooperation. Generally speaking, it is necessary to reduce hostility to obtain information from the character.

In contrast, members can negotiate with others by agreeing, refuting, coercing, inducing, and presenting evidence.

Finally, make the character believe or no longer believe a certain viewpoint, reduce their hostility to be willing to reveal information, or deliberately anger the other party to achieve certain purposes... In short, there is more than one way to achieve the goal. And the method you choose will change the information you can get.

Publishing and Multiple Endings

After the investigation of an incident is completed, the news department members will gather to put forward their respective opinions.

Choose the opinion you think is correct... or rather, the one you want to make correct to advance the publication discussion.

Use the clues you have or excellent negotiation skills to smoothly promote this opinion into a report until this issue of news is full of content.

Reports composed of countless opinions combined will correspond to different developments. Find the ending you want to reach from them.
