About This Game

At the helm of a Harakin, an intergalactic bounty hunter, the player explores distant planets to hunt colossal, challenging creatures. With a top-down 2D perspective, the game delivers intense combat that demands strategy and sharp reflexes.

There are no fixed character classes in The Harakin, instead, your playstyle is defined by the weapon you wield. The player can choose among three playable weapon types, each with its own moveset and mechanics:

• Heavy melee weapon: Slow but devastating strikes capable of massive damage in a single blow. Ideal for those who prefer raw power, requiring careful positioning due to wind-up time.

• Ranged weapon: Long-distance attacks with plenty of buffs, keeping the hunter safe while using a bird companion that provides tactical support. For fans of bows, and a touch of falconry.

• Agile melee weapon: Fast strings of attacks with higher mobility. Enables quick combos, easy dodges, and counterattacks, perfect for players who enjoy rapid slashes and high speed.

Each weapon offers a distinct gameplay experience. Tired of one style? Just swap gear and discover a completely different playstyle tailored to your preferences.

Defeating monsters in The Harakin isn’t just about finishing the mission, it’s the core of progression. Every creature slain or captured yields valuable materials (monster parts, hides, claws, essences, etc.) used to forge and upgrade weapons and armor. Gradually improving your arsenal is essential to face ever-harder challenges.

Exploring the world of The Harakin goes beyond chasing monsters: it involves reading the surroundings, gathering supplies, and using geography, dynamic weather and time-of-day cycles, and local fauna strategically. This environmental richness makes each hunt unique and immersive, rewarding curious, observant players.

Space Operations Center (Hub)

Between hunts, you’ll return to a space-based operations center, the game’s main hub. There, you can accept new missions via a digital bounty board, prepare your character and equipment, restock supplies (potions, ammo, traps, etc.), and calmly plan your next expeditions.

Goal & Story

Every element, from your weapon choice to planetary exploration, from crafting to planning in the space hub, feeds into a heroic journey. In The Harakin, you carve your own path to glory, facing gigantic monsters and surpassing yourself in every battle until you’re hailed as the greatest intergalactic hunter.
