In Genebreak, you step into the shoes of a lone survivor following a mysterious explosion near Chernobyl — not from the reactor, but from a hidden Soviet laboratory buried beneath the city. This lab was experimenting with unstable genetic material, and when it was destroyed, its horrors were unleashed.

The radioactive fallout didn’t just spread — it merged with secret experimental compounds, mutating the residents of a nearby apartment complex into grotesque human-animal hybrids. These aren’t zombies… they’re something much worse: unpredictable, unstable, and violently feral.
