Acerca de este juego

DoppelTest is a gentle adventure game where you quietly watch over the intertwined lives of a human and a robot for 14 days.

Would you let a robot take your place if it was kinder than you?

Meet Kagari, a withdrawn child, and Kagami, the stand-in robot who lives Kagari’s life in their place.

One day, due to strange circumstances, the two are made to face a question: if one takes the other's place so often, who deserves to be recognized as Kagari themself?

After 14 days, the one who behaves more like a human will be accepted by society as the true Kagari.

... But neither of them want to be recognized as such.

This game is much more gentle and lighthearted than it's premise may initially imply.

In this story, there's no necessity for rivalry or deception.
Humans care for robots, and robots care for humans.
The story is made to unfold in an atmosphere of gentle kindness.

The characters are just as unique as the world itself:
A teacher who can't schold a student's robot in their place,
a maintenance engineer incapable of remembering a face she saw a day ago,
a guide robot that always tries to dodge paperwork...
All with distinctive personalities you'll get to learn about as you play.

As the player, your job will be to decide which tasks—such as going to school or shopping—should be assigned to either Kagari or Kagami.

Through these tasks, they’ll meet other people, discover their own wishes,
and eventually choose whether to become “the real one” or to step aside for the other.

The game does not have flashy sound effects, fancy graphics, fully-voiced dialogue or animations...
But it will instead focus on making you feel attached to it's characters through their dialogues and peculiar quirks.
