What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Coraland is a complex ecosystem simulation set in a coral reef. Early Access allows us to gather feedback on gameplay balance, performance, and system depth directly from the community. It’s crucial for us to understand how players interact with the game in order to create a stable and scientifically grounded simulation.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We estimate that Coraland will remain in Early Access for around 12 to 24 months. This timeframe may be adjusted based on player feedback, development progress, and technical requirements.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to add more coral and fish species, seasonal events, pollution-driven ecosystem dynamics, an extended UI system, a disease management system, and a story mode.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current Early Access version includes the core gameplay systems: coral and fish placement, population management, pollution dynamics, reproduction, and basic predator-prey behavior. Players can already experiment with various species and observe emergent ecosystem behavior.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to gradually increase the price as we add more features and content. The final release will reflect the added value and depth of the full version.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We will actively monitor player feedback via Steam forums and community channels, and adjust balancing, features, and priorities accordingly. Our goal is to build a scientifically plausible and fun simulation that evolves with community input.”
