Astrobound will embark you on a retro-inspired cosmic adventure with your crew in your own space vessel , where you will experience a variety of randomized events and encounters along the way. These may range from dangerous confrontations to whimsical tales and everything in between. The main gameplay design is inspired by classic adventure sims like The Oregon Trail, but with multiple twists and enhancements that will make every player's galactic trek a unique story and an engaging experience. Whether it's crossing asteroid belts, dodging outlaws, delivering passengers, or scavenging derelict ships, every decision will shape your crew's fate as you sail the galaxy.

The Ship

• Upgrade and customize your ship as your home in space

• Hire and manage your crew to commandeer the ship

• Deliver cargo and sell trade goods to make profit

• Maintain resources and ship health to keep your story going

The Galaxy

• Experience a tailored story, or choose to play through endless generated encounters during your expedition

• Visit planets, cities, space stations, and more

• Confront space hazards like crossing asteroid belts and nebulae

• Complete jobs and cargo deliveries along the way

The Story

• Keep track of your astral adventures in your captain's log

• Bring aboard passengers and deliver them safely

• Choose from multiple game modes, including varying story scenarios and an endless mode

• Survive and thrive in space!  Try not to contract space dysentery...

(Planned) There are plans for Twitch integration in Astrobound, so be ready to shepherd your followers across the galaxy soon!

Current Development Status

Astrobound is currently in active development, but the page and early details are ready to be shared. Screenshots and gameplay videos will be added as the game progresses. Follow Doink Studios for the latest updates on progress, upcoming playtests, and the road to launch!
