Why Early Access?

“Monster Tavern is a solo-developed game, and player feedback has been a huge help in figuring out what works, what doesn't, and what needs another round.

Early Access lets me keep building the game alongside the people actually playing it. I want to keep adding cards, monsters, bartenders, and new bars while using community feedback to help shape what comes next.”

“I expect Monster Tavern to remain in Early Access for roughly 1-2 years”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The plan is more Monster Tavern.

More bartenders with their own card pools and playstyles, more cards and Trinkets to build around, and more bars filled with new monsters and bosses.

I also plan to keep improving and balancing the existing game as development continues.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Monster Tavern currently has two playable bartenders, two full bars with their own monsters and bosses, over 100 cards to build with, Trinkets to collect, and Difficulty Mugs for players looking for a tougher run.

Both bars can be played from start to finish.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“No price difference is planned right now.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Player feedback has already helped shape balance changes, new features, quality-of-life improvements, and plenty of fixes. There’s also a Discord for feedback, discussion, and bug reports.”
