Varför Early Access?

“Industronaut is a systems-driven factory automation and survival game, and its core strength lies in interconnected mechanics: production chains, logistics, drones, power management, and long-term progression.

Early Access allows us to develop these systems together with the community, using real player feedback to shape balance, usability, and feature priorities. Many of the design decisions in a game like this are best made after observing how players actually build, optimize, and break the systems.

The game is already playable and enjoyable in its current state, but several major systems are still evolving. Early Access gives us the flexibility to iterate faster, experiment with mechanics, and refine the experience based on player behavior rather than assumptions.

We want Early Access players to be part of the development process, not just early buyers.”

“We plan for Industronaut to remain in Early Access for approximately 1 to 2 years.

This timeline depends on the progress of core systems such as production depth, automation balance, progression pacing, and overall stability. Our goal is to leave Early Access once the game reaches a point where its main mechanics feel complete, well-balanced, and polished enough for a full release.

If development progresses faster or if certain systems require additional iteration based on player feedback, this timeframe may adjust accordingly. We prefer to take the time needed to deliver a solid and cohesive experience rather than rushing a full release.”

“We plan for the full version of Industronaut to expand significantly in depth, balance, and long-term progression compared to the Early Access version.

The full release is intended to feature a more complete endgame design, offering extended production chains, late-game challenges, and long-term goals beyond early automation setup. We also plan to further refine game balance, including resource flow, power management, and progression pacing, based heavily on player feedback gathered during Early Access.

Additional items, machines, and buildable structures are planned to broaden strategic options and support more diverse factory layouts and playstyles.

We also aim to improve and expand the narrative and scenario elements, providing better context for the player’s situation, clearer progression milestones, and a more cohesive overall experience.

Overall, the full version is planned to deliver a more polished, content-rich, and well-balanced experience, building on the foundation established during Early Access.”

“The Early Access version of Industronaut is fully playable and features a solid core gameplay loop.

You were left behind because the main ship ran out of power and your pod never opened.

Industronaut is a survival engineering game set on a hostile, radiation heavy planet. You are the only active engineer on the surface. There is no evacuation plan and no external support.

Survival depends on building a self sufficient habitat.

You will construct life support hubs where oxygen, food, and water are produced. Hab modules are connected using corridors, doors, and functional rooms, allowing your base to expand gradually into a complete living and industrial complex.

Mining is essential. You will extract raw resources from the planet and process them through growing production chains. Each system you build unlocks new materials, machines, and possibilities, pushing your industrial network forward step by step.

Automation plays a central role. Drones can be deployed to search for ore deposits and handle logistics between machines and storage systems. As production scales up, managing resource flow and layout becomes critical.

There is no combat focus and no scripted rescue. Progress comes from engineering decisions, efficient layouts, and continuous expansion. Every system you build exists to keep you alive and moving forward.

The planet is hostile. Your habitat is the only safe place.
If it works, you survive.
