Instruments of Power is a tactical RPG with roguelite elements set in a dark, crumbling fantasy world. You are a mage who made a world-shaking discovery — only to lose your body and unleash an ancient evil upon the land.

Use the catalysts, effects and mods you discover to craft custom spells and defeat your enemies.

Shape each spell carefully to counter their tactics and powers.

Your soul is now bound to a mysterious sanctuary beyond space and time.

Freed from the constraints of the flesh, you can invoke avatars of yourself to fight the shadows.

Powerful yet disposable, each new avatar will weaken the tether keeping your soul in this world. Will you rush or bide your time?

Use mystical scrying to find ancient sites of knowledge or power.

Each is a battleground—tainted, contested, and overrun by warped things born of the darkness you unleashed. Reclaim them through ruthless turn-based combat.

The game unfolds across two layers: the sanctuary and the tactical battlefield.

In the sanctuary, you interact with the Entity that saved your soul and prepare for what comes next. Manage your territory and spend your resources to craft spells, upgrade your avatars and extend your influence over the region.

When ready, choose an enemy force to confront. The game then shifts to a tactical, turn-based battle where your avatars clash with hostile forces while activating ancient artefacts and structures.

- Engage in deep, turn-based combat where positioning, timing, and synergy determine survival.

- Control your force: choose when, where, and how many avatars to bring into battle.

- Spend Influence, generated by your captured Sites of Power, to unlock new regions and cast devastating curses upon enemy forces.
