Hvorfor tidlig adgang?

“We’re using Early Access to improve key parts of the game that benefit most from real player feedback — especially boss balance, difficulty progression, and narrative flow. While the core systems are in place, we’re still tuning how the story unfolds and whether certain moments need more context, emotional depth, or pacing changes.
In our own testing, boss fights felt too difficult, which led us to add optional side quests that reward players with extra abilities. However, these changes haven’t been tested with a wider audience, and we’re unsure whether the difficulty curve now feels fair or if additional adjustments are needed — such as more side content or boss tuning.
The game features both melee and magic combat, but we haven’t yet seen how players will actually use them in practice. While we’ve done our best to balance both options, magic is ranged and may naturally feel safer or more powerful. Early Access will help us understand whether players are still choosing to engage in melee — and if not, whether we need to improve its utility, fun factor, or overall viability.
Based on Early Access feedback, we plan to refine difficulty, adjust combat mechanics, rebalance abilities, and improve the storytelling experience. Our goal is to make sure the final game feels fair, engaging, and emotionally satisfying — and we believe this is only possible by involving the community at this stage.”

“We estimate that the game will remain in Early Access for approximately 2 to 6 months. This window allows us enough time to incorporate community feedback, resolve any lingering bugs, and make narrative or balancing adjustments before the full launch.

If feedback is highly positive and the game is stable, we may release sooner. If major feedback requires deeper changes, we’ll take the extra time needed to get it right.”

Hvorledes kommer den fulde version til at være anderledes end produktet i tidlig adgang?

“We plan to use the player feedback gathered during Early Access and try to refine the gameplay for the players. This is not limited to just possible improvements to combat balance, story pacing, boss difficulty, and side content. We also plan to refine the progression of the storyline depending on players' feedback.

Depending on player input, we may also introduce new side quests, adjust skill unlocks, and fine-tune enemy behavior to ensure the experience feels fair and rewarding. Our goal is for the full release to be a polished, emotionally impactful version of the game shaped directly by community insight.”

“The game is fully playable from start to finish, with all core mechanics, systems, and content already implemented. However, it has not yet undergone extensive beta testing beyond internal playthroughs and a small closed group. Early Access will serve as our “live test” phase to verify stability, player reception, and overall narrative impact.”

“Yes. We plan to offer the game at a slightly lower price during Early Access to thank early supporters and reflect the fact that it's still evolving. The price will increase when we reach full release to account for the additional content, polish, and improvements added based on community feedback.”

“We plan to actively engage players via the Steam Community Forums, where players can report bugs, share feedback on story and gameplay, and suggest improvements. We’ll post updates, patch notes, and developer commentaries to explain what’s changing and why. If certain topics gather lots of feedback (e.g., story branches or pacing), we may run community polls to guide adjustments.
Player feedback will directly influence tweaks and fixes ahead of full release.”

The Last Mage: Trials of Vahrkesh is a semi-realistic story-driven action RPG about a young woman named Aelena who is mysteriously transported from the modern world to a medieval realm through a strange portal. While exploring an ancient library, she discovers a forbidden grimoire that grants her powerful magical abilities.

Aelena soon learns of a dark past — a massacre that nearly wiped out all mages, leaving only the tyrannical Dark King and his sorceress lieutenant. The Dark King is using a deadly magic stone to eliminate all future mages and cement his absolute power.

To stop this grim fate, Aelena must embark on a perilous journey to find the legendary artifact known as Vahrkesh, completing a series of challenging trials along the way. She joins forces with a resistance movement led by an exiled prince, navigating a rich narrative filled with action, puzzles, romance, and deep character growth.
