Hvorfor tidlig tilgang?

«SLIDE: platformer is roughly 95% complete.
We still need to add some features (like achievements or leaderboards), however all major features and levels are ready and we need to make sure that they are working properly. Most notably we need to test and polish the levels both visually and gameplay-wise.»

Hvor lenge antas det at dette spillet vil være i tidlig tilgang?

«We hope to be in Early Access for about a month or two but it will depend on the amount of improvements and fixes we would have to make based on what you have to say.»

Hvordan er det planlagt at fullversjonen skal være forskjellig fra versjonen i tidlig tilgang?

«We plan to add proper controller support, achievements, leaderboards, music and a bit of visual juice. Apart from that we do not plan to add any major features or mechanics. We just want to improve the existing ones.»

«Some think that Early Access should cost more, others are convinced that it should cost less. We have no idea which one is right, so MOST LIKELY the price will not change when we leave early access.»

«We are looking forward to hearing your opinion on gameplay, mechanics, and difficulty. These are the areas that will get most of our attention.

In some platformers you die a lot. Not because you are being killed by things you could not possibly know - you perfectly know what's what but you still can't pull off the moves. In some platformers you spend 10 minutes on a level that can be passed in under 15 seconds.
You might look at SLIDE's footage and think that it's an easy game. But you would be wrong.

SLIDE is a hardcore 2d platformer where you run, jump and (often) die. No enemies, no blowing stuff up.

What makes this game stand out - for better or worse - is a system of contextual jumps which allows to perform dozens of jumps simply by combining direction keys with the "jump". You can even jump down.

This feature not only makes for a unique paltforming experience but also adds a puzzle element where you need to figure out what jumps are available to you and which ones to perform in certain situations.
