« Early Access gives me the chance to refine and expand it with your feedback. I have big plans to add new features, modes, and surprises through regular updates—and with your input, each addition can land sharper, funnier, and even more fun to play. »

« I expect Matchology to remain in Early Access for around 3 to 6 months. However, if the community provides lots of great suggestions and requests for new features, I’m more than happy to extend development to make the game even better. Your feedback directly shapes the timeline.

« New features already in the plan includes:
  • Prestige level that unlocks permanent skill tree development, and special abilities based on your current most matched subject (a.k.a. your Major)
  • New perks and subjects
  • Final exam (Bosses with special chaotic mechanics at the end of each year)
  • Weekly challenges for extra Grade Points
  • New panic behaviors (and jumpscares if you dare!)
  • Custom and time attack mode

« The game is fully playable with:
  • Main gameplay with 16 stages and 21 subjects
  • Settings for Music, Sound Effects, Jumpscares and Data Reset
  • Tutorial on the title screen
  • Perk systems with 15 perks
  • 4 Sanity effects (including Jumpscares)
  • Autosave on progress made per run
  • 17 Steam Achievements
  • 7 power-ups and 1 unlockable at the shop at the end of every run

« As a token of appreciation to early supporters, Matchology will be cheaper during Early Access. Once the game graduates from Early Access, we will raise the price to reflect the new content and features in the full version. »

« Community feedback is at the heart of Matchology’s growth. I’ll be actively monitoring player suggestions, bug reports, and discussions through Steam forums. Every new feature, balance tweak, or content addition during Early Access will be shaped by what players enjoy (or don’t).

Regular updates—roughly once or twice per month—will reflect this feedback, with changelogs showing exactly what’s been adjusted based on community input. »

Welcome to Matchology: the only academic program where flipping cards can earn you a diploma — or a mental breakdown.
You’ve enrolled in a school where each semester gets harder, the subjects keep changing, and your sanity meter is suspiciously real. Make matches under pressure, collect Grades, and build absurd perk combos to stay afloat through 16 soul-crushing rounds.

Choose your perks wisely: will you slow down time with a middle click? Replace half your chemistry cards with poetry? Remove entire subjects from existence just because you can? There’s no wrong way to study... just faster ways to fail.

What to expect:

  • Rogue-lite memory gameplay with escalating difficulty

  • A chaotic perk system full of busted synergies and game-breaking combos

  • Sanity effects that mess with your screen, timing, and trust in yourself

  • Perks that let you freeze time, gamble on guesses, or literally erase subjects from the curriculum
