Why Early Access?

“We’re launching Idle Empires in early access to gather feedback, refine gameplay balance, and expand features based on player input. Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We expect Idle Empires to remain in early access for 6 to 12 months, depending on player feedback and the complexity of new features. Our goal is to ensure the core gameplay is polished, progression is satisfying, and content is robust before the full release.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version of Idle Empires has plans to include more content, improved balance, and additional systems based on player feedback. Planned additions include:

• Expanded tech tree and eras
  
• New buildings and wonders
  
• In-Game Chat.
  
• Player resource trading
  
• Multiple prestige levels
  
• QoL features like stats, build presets, and automation tools
  
• UI polish
  
• Achievement support

The final version is intended to represent a more complete, stable, and content-rich experience while preserving the core mechanics introduced during early access.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Early access version of Idle Empires is currently going through closed prototype testing, it includes basic core gameplay systems: hex grid building, idle resource generation, structure upgrades, and basic tech progression. Players can build and expand their empire, progress through the first few eras in the game.

While the foundation is solid and fully playable, some features—like late-game balance, advanced buildings, and UI polish—are still in development. We’re actively updating the game based on community feedback to expand and refine the experience.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We have no plans to raise the price of Idle Empires during early access, however there might be a small price increase when the game comes out of early access, this will be depending on content additions and design decisions made during early access. Early access players will get the game at a lower price as a thank-you for supporting development and helping shape the final version.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community feedback is a key part of Idle Empires' development. We’ll actively monitor player suggestions, bug reports, and balance discussions through the Steam forums and Discord. Player input will help shape new features, tweak progression systems, and prioritize quality-of-life improvements. Regular updates and dev logs will keep players informed and involved throughout early access.”
