Directorate: Novitiate is a third-person action RPG set in an alternate 2006 Los Angeles, where supernatural Syndicates control the city’s shadows and magic bleeds into the cracks of reality.  
 
Step into the role of Kana Luna, aka Mercury — a newly inducted agent of the secretive and all-powerful Directorate. Armed with guns, spells, and a rare power to glimpse the past, Mercury must survive an arcane underworld ruled by occult politics, fractured dimensions, and untold horrors clawing their way back into the world — all while those she loves become targets.  

About the Demo: 

Investigate the disappearance of Commander Nova of the Costa Muerta Syndicate. Your mission begins in a seaside church in Hermosa Beach. Behind its stained-glass windows lies a bloody mystery and a gateway to a realm of nightmares.  
 
Dodge bullets, cast spells, and fight powerful foes as you uncover the secrets of the Syndicates.  
Find Commander Nova before it’s too late.

Some AI tools were used to help bring human-led ideas to life. It helped us see what some ideas could look like, and helped us refine other ideas mid process. All of the assets within the Demo were initiated by artists within the team. These refined compositions are always fed back into artists and AI for further iteration, each step demanding an artistic eye to guide the output.
