Hey Commander, the King has summoned you to lead the battle against the forces of evil. Don’t worry—this war is going to be a blast!

Coin War is a roguelike deckbuilder with groundbreaking gameplay. Play cards to summon units that stay active for a limited number of turns, and insert coins to trigger their abilities. Deploy soldiers and farms, cast fireballs, and build landmarks on a grid-based board where each hexgrid holds its own strategic importance. With endless replayability and outstanding card synergy, Coin War won't let you down!

Great news—the King is ready to fund your legion! But allocating those resources wisely is a challenge you'll need to tackle.

Coin War sticks to the classic roguelike deck-building and card-recycling rules while adding a unique tabletop combat twist. There are three types of cards:

• Unit Cards: Summon units onto the board.

• Tactic Cards: Take immediate effect.

• Landmark Cards: Provide continuous effects throughout a battle.

Once your deployment is complete, 60 coins will begin to drop from the top of the battlefield. As they pass by, your units’ abilities are triggered. Coins roll along the grids in each row, with the top row reaping the most benefits—so plan your unit placement carefully to maximize their potential. At the end of each turn, every unit’s stamina decreases, and once it hits zero, that unit is sent to the discard pile.

“But if you let those evil foes cause too much damage, I’ll withdraw my investment—immediately!”

Even with the King’s backing, you must keep the enemies from wreaking havoc on the kingdom.

Once all the coins have fallen, the enemies will make their move. The coins you collect provide you income to build defenses to help offset the damage inflicted by your foes. Plus, some units can boost your coin value even further.

Every two turns, your income and the damage you’ve sustained are tallied up. Any excess damage will permanently weaken your legion. You can also influence enemy behavior by how you deploy your units—blocking their path or luring them into traps. Understanding their tactics and adapting your strategy is the key to victory.

“If you need help, go find it yourself. You’re the boss of your legion.”

This is a tough expedition and only an exceptional crew with diverse skills can help you progress.

Throughout your journey, you’ll acquire new cards through battles and shops, and you can enhance your deck by completing various events. You might even send your legion on side quests, which can yield rich rewards or unique upgrades. Every run presents you with different cards, and the synergy between them will ultimately determine the outcome of each battle. Your choices make all the difference in this expedition!
