Why Early Access?

“We want to make Good Boy directly with community involvement, as we iterate and craft the game based on what people are most excited about. We hope to not only build a great game, but also a great community of players. Early Access is a great fit for a project like this. ”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We’re not sure. This depends heavily on what our players want to see. We want to make sure that we’re being responsive to players and not setting a development timeline without knowing what’s important to them. That said, we do have a rough outline of what we want to accomplish based on how people respond to various elements.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Early Access has limited content and very early versions of the game systems. As we progress through development we expect to expand content, refine those game systems, and polish how game play feels. And, of course, we expect to address bugs throughout the Early Access phase.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game is fully playable by 1-6 people, with a fun and engaging core gameplay loop and a collection of levels, masks, and loot that's expanding with every update.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes. As we get closer to 1.0, we anticipate raising the price a little bit to reflect a more finished project.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We have a lot of options for players. First, there’s a feedback form linked in the game. Second, we take comments and questions in our Discord, and we try to pay attention and be responsive on Steam Forums or on Social Media. We also regularly stream development work to our twitch channel where we welcome feedback and community building. We very much want the community’s feedback and suggestions, so reach out to us however you can!”
