Varför Early Access?

“Bound by Bones is being released in Early Access to involve players early in development and gather valuable feedback to shape the final version of the game. As a solo indie developer, community input is essential to help balance gameplay, improve scares, and expand features based on what players enjoy most. Early Access allows me to deliver a solid horror experience now, while continuing to build toward a more polished, content-rich final release with the help of the community.

“The plan is to keep Bound by Bones in Early Access for approximately 9 to 12 months. This allows enough time to gather feedback, implement new features, polish existing content, and expand the game to its full vision.”

“The full version of Bound by Bones is planned to include five unique levels, each with multiple randomized variations to keep gameplay fresh. The Early Access version will launch with two fully playable levels, and the final release will expand on that with additional levels, new ghost variants, more mechanics, improved visuals, audio enhancements, and overall polish. Community feedback during Early Access will help shape the direction and content of the full game.”

“The Early Access version of Bound by Bones includes two fully playable levels, each featuring randomized layouts and ghost encounters. The core gameplay loop — exploring, finding and burning remains, and surviving supernatural threats — is functional, but still being refined. While the experience is stable, player feedback is essential to improve balance, enhance scares, and polish level design, so your input during Early Access will help shape the final version.”

Kommer spelet att prissättas annorlunda under och efter Early Access?

“Yes, the price of Bound by Bones will gradually increase as new content and features are added throughout Early Access. The initial release will be offered at a lower price to reflect the current scope of the game, with the full version expected to be priced higher once all levels and content are complete.”

Hur planerar ni att involvera gemenskapen i er utvecklingsprocess?

“Community feedback will be essential during Early Access, especially for identifying and fixing bugs, improving level design, and refining the gameplay experience. While the main focus will be on stability and polish, I’ll also be listening closely to suggestions — and if a player shares a great idea that fits the vision of the game, I’ll strongly consider implementing it. Updates will be based on community feedback gathered through Steam discussions, social media, and other platforms.”
