After the collapse of a massive transnational alliance, the forest was left as a power vacuum—an enigmatic land few dare to approach. On this primal territory at the Edge of Civilization, conspiracies and schemes flourish. Power, magic, betrayal, and assassins clash across this lawless land.

The homeless who wander these woods, expedition groups drawn by profit, displaced people from competing factions, and hostile forest dwellers together form a fragile balance rooted in humanity’s most primal, beast-like instincts. At the Fusion Bench in shops, you can pay a small price to obtain a brand-new card that combines the effects of two existing cards. These powerful Fusion Effects will accompany you throughout an entire run, becoming your most reliable allies.

There is no longer a single “strongest card” — only the strongest combinations. How to merge two card effects into a card that achieves 1 + 1 > 2 depends on your understanding of the current situation and the creativity you bring into each encounter.
