When mortals pass, their souls could ascend to heaven for reincarnation. Yet some refuse to do so. They choose to linger in the living’s world, bound by their earthly obsessions—love, grudges, or sheer stubbornness…

These wayward are classified as "Spirit Permanent Resident (SPR)", or "Soul Squatters”. Most of them eventually fade into obscurity, but a mischievous few hone their spiritual powers to meddle with the living, birthing urban legends that straddle horror and dark comedy.

Thus stands an ancient profession modernized:

Paranormal Adventure Game

Ghost Hunting Journal is a narrative-driven adventure game set in the fictional Chinese metropolis of Riverun. Players control a duo of unconventional Spirit Agents—polar opposites in personality and abilities. Roam the city, switch between partners, and tackle missions including but not limited to:
