Coming Soon To Early Access

What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“I decided to first release Shmooblin Blaster in early access first because I believe there is much left to do before it is completed and can be honestly released as a finished game. The game currently only has about half of what I would like to add, some of my goals include adding it's fourth and 'final' boss, lots of story and lore elements, and many smaller features such as more hats, achievements, character and ability progression, and more yucky little Shmooblins to battle.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Around six months”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“I plan to include things such as a third and fourth boss, a full boss fight revamp, and some smaller things like giving the bosses more distinct personalities, more hats, and more in-depth lore and story elements.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Shmooblin Blaster is currently in a playable demo stage, with a good amount of its core gameplay loop: a surreal bullet hell boss rush with a focus on precision dodging, targeted shooting, and visual storytelling. Some of the gameplay features include:
A functional combat system where the player targets the active limb of multi-part bosses, two out of the four planned bosses, a fully working health system, and a visual cue system for active boss limbs.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“I plan to price the game very low and not change it post full release”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Listening to reviews and demo feedback will be integral to the developmental process, and is a big reason as to why I am releasing in early access instead of when it's totally finished. The community can help greatly with reviews, sending direct feedback via my email and google form, and reacting through community posts that should accompany each update and change.”
