Varför Early Access?

“I'm a solo indie dev juggling 3 small projects while streaming the whole process. Early Access is my way of growing a community as I work on each of them.

StarShipdle is the first of the three I’m aiming to finish, mostly because the other two are a bit bigger in scope.
That said, I don’t want to just rush it out the door. I’d really like to hear what people think about the game and how it can be improved... and the only way to do that is through player feedback.

I’m genuinely excited to see how players end up using (or breaking) StarShipdle.”

“I plan to keep the game in Early Access for about a year before releasing the full version with all the systems I want to include.”

Hur är det tänkt att den fullständiga versionen ska skilja sig från versionen i Early Access?

“Right now, the game has pretty limited content; you can fight enemies, abduct cows, and mine asteroids, all of which give you money to upgrade your ship’s stats.
My idea of the complete version is to have a more polished game with, in general, more things to do.
I'm planning to add more features to the game, like orbiting a planet, jumping to different space sectors, collecting resources that aren’t just money, and more.

Hur är det nuvarande läget i versionen med Early Access?

“It’s in a very early and simple state, enough to keep you entertained for a short while.

Right now, it’s a super simple game: your ship flies across the screen blowing up asteroids, abducting cows, and taking down enemy spaceships. All of that earns you money, which you can then use to upgrade the ship’s stats.

Simple, but fun; the cool thing is that the game pretty much runs on its own, so you can just let it do its thing while you focus on something else.”

Kommer spelet att prissättas annorlunda under och efter Early Access?

“For now, the price is going to stay the same.”

“I’m currently streaming on Twitch at "Twitch/capri_games" where I talk about the game’s development, design, and all the updates I’m working on. I’m also posting updates on the website as things evolve”
