“I want to make an app that helps people over the hurdles that stop them from playing tabletop RPGs. But, I only have a limited personal view of what the reasons might be. I need more input to be sure I'm addressing what's actually needed, and addressing it in a way that actually works.

The app is in a prototype state, designed based on my own presumptions of what the community might want. It's for demonstrating features so users can get hands-on experience for providing real feedback. The design is expected to change significantly and frequently as more users add their observations.”

“A year or less.”

“Early Access is planned to ship with Tier 1 through 3 covering two styles of improv, and some "real rule" basics. The full version is planned to include tiers 4 and 5 which include more complex rules and the full world lore. The highest priority feature being worked on is the implementation of a Workshop so others can add their chapters to my book.”

앞서 해보기 버전은 현재 어떤 상태인가요?

“The app is like an interactive book, but built to have a minimum of information displayed at once so the reader isn't overwhelmed.

Basic "tier 1" content has been implemented to see how information is created and displayed. This is just covers how to do "Yes, And"-style play of tabletop RPGs as the initial example of how the content can look.

Reader Mode (what shows initially) is currently formatted in "Doom Scroll & Rabbit Hole" mode, where the content can be read like a pdf, with linked hint text in green to open clarifications and explainers.

For Writer Mode (button in the top left), there is the ability to associate images with entries, and basic mark-up in the Tags tab. Newly made hints are shown at the bottom for navigating between those sub-entries. This content is saved across sessions.”

개발 과정에서 어떻게 커뮤니티와 소통할 계획인가요?

“Primarily, I'll be monitoring the discussions for bug reports so I can get them triaged and worked on. Secondarily, I'll be reading through the general vibe of reviews to modify the UI for a better user experience. Chatting about cool content ideas likely will not be until after Early Access. But, getting ideas from the community on the themes of the world (especially factions, missions, biomes, and rewards) is especially desirable, especially if given as a by-product of actual play.”
