What is Kanka?

Kanka is a co-op-first sci-fi action RPG / third-person shooter for 1–4 players.

You are part of a volunteer team sent to SP-01 after earlier expeditions disappeared without contact. The mission goes wrong before it truly begins: your ship is hit during descent, the squad crash-lands, and the only way forward is to regroup, grow stronger, and find a way home without leaving anyone behind.

Fight Your Way Off SP-01

SP-01 is a dangerous research planet shaped by missing expeditions, damaged routes, aggressive creatures, and organized enemy factions.

Your journey begins near the crash site. From there, the squad pushes toward Dustline Camp, an early hub for missions, crafting, repairs, character progression, and preparing for the next step deeper into the planet.

Explore, Craft, Progress

Kanka is built around an action RPG loop focused on forward momentum:

• Explore hostile regions of SP-01

• Fight enemy groups in third-person combat

• Collect weapons, materials, ammo, keys, and mission items

• Craft key tools and repair damaged systems

• Improve your character and prepare your squad for tougher encounters

• Push toward the next objective on the path home

The current alpha focuses on the first playable slice of this loop: crash recovery, early missions, combat, crafting, progression, and the Dustline Camp flow.

Role-Based Team Play

Kanka can be played solo, but it is designed around 1–4 player co-op.

Bring your Kankas, combine class roles, support each other in combat, and test the foundations of online co-op as the game grows through alpha development.

Choose Your Class

Kanka features four playable class identities:

• Soldier — frontline pressure and protection

• Doctor — healing and team recovery

• Engineer — utility, devices, and tactical support

• Scientist — tech-focused support and damage amplification

Each class is intended to give the squad a different kind of edge during missions and combat encounters.

Current Alpha Focus

Kanka is currently in active development. The v0.6-alpha Closed Alpha Playtest focuses on the first story slice and core gameplay foundations, including:

• Crash Site onboarding missions

• Dustline Camp as the first main hub

• Third-person combat

• Exploration and mission flow

• Loot and inventory systems

• Crafting and repair objectives

• Character progression foundations

• Online co-op foundations

This is an early alpha build, not a final demo. Bugs, missing content, balance issues, and unfinished areas should be expected.
