「Early Access isn’t just about playing early, it’s about being part of the journey. Your ideas, feedback, and experiences will directly shape Hillshade Farm, making it the best it can be!

A Living, Growing Experience – This is the type of game that can constantly be expanded and perfected. Instead of rushing to a final release, we want to work closely with players to refine mechanics, improve balance, and add meaningful content.

Your Feedback Matters – Early Access allows us to listen to the community and shape the game based on real player experiences.

A Strong Foundation – The core mechanics are already in place, but your suggestions will help refine and improve the game over time.」

「 We estimate around 1 year in Early Access before the full release. However, this is not set in stone; we will take the time needed to ensure the game reaches its full potential. Our priority is quality, depth, and player satisfaction rather than rushing to a 1.0 launch. 」

正式版預計會與搶先體驗版有何不同？

「There is a lot on the plate for this game! We plan to work this project to perfection, from smallest details to the foundations. Here are some of the main points:

✅ More advanced farming mechanics – Implementation of Terrain Deformation, better Physics. Plant Systems are already quite refined with the game at its current state, so Plants shouldn't change much, we can only add more varieties.

✅ Expanded animal care – Improved AI, mostly. The AI we envision is ALIVE, the animals react to environment, sounds, fast movements, weather, predators etc. This one is a must, and very important. A more basic version of this is currently implemented, it should be only improved from this point. And of course adding new Animals, but that is a breeze.

✅ More buildings & customization – More ways to design your farm, decorate your land, and upgrade structures. These systems don't need much refining, they are already solid. All that we plan to add here is simply more content.

✅ Additional farm tools & vehicles – Expanding the player’s ability to automate tasks and manage large-scale farms. Right now the game offers 4 vehicles; a Small and a Big Tractor, an ATV and a Pickup Truck. We plan to greatly expand this area of the game. Just more farm machinery overall.

✅ Dynamic world improvements – More seasonal effects, and environmental depth. This one is not that big.

✅ Performance & Polish – Optimized gameplay, smoother animations, and bug fixes. This one needs to be done over and over and over again. The game should run smoothly while looking good.」

搶先體驗版目前的開發進度如何？

「The game is currently being developed since November 2024, and we plan to be working on Early Access until Release planned in November 2025. With this project, functionality and complex Farming Systems are a priority, which are mostly all implemented!

Therefore, the rest of development will focus on adding lots of Content, fixing bugs, and polishing all the Gameplay Mechanics and the Open World Map! We plan to showcase the progress right here on our Steam Page!

Already Implemented:
✔️ Farm Building & Customization – Design your farm with free placement of buildings, fences, and structures.
✔️ Crop Farming – Plow, plant, water, and harvest a variety of crops.
✔️ Animal Care – Raise and manage chickens, cows, and more, with full feeding and breeding systems.
✔️ Tractors & Tools – Use farming vehicles to plow, seed, and water your fields.
✔️ Economy & Trading – Sell your harvest, manage your money, and expand your farm.
✔️ Crafting & Upgrades – Improve your tools, farm structures, and overall productivity.
✔️ Seasons & Weather – Experience a living, dynamic world with changing weather patterns.

While the foundation is strong and enjoyable, we know that there’s still room to improve!」

「We plan to raise the price 10% on 1.0 launch.」

「We’re not just asking for feedback, we want to shape the game with the community.

📝 Planned Roadmap – We plan to release a detailed roadmap outlining upcoming features, expansions, and improvements. Players will have input on this roadmap.

Protect your animals from predators that roam at night; keep an eye open, or face the consequences!

🛠️ Design, Build, and Renovate. Shape your farm, your way.

Renovate more than just your house. Repair barns, rebuild fences, restore sheds, and bring every forgotten corner of the farm back to life. With over 50 different in-world interactable items, 20 premade structures, and almost 100 freehand placeable items as Utility Items, Decorations and other Misc. items!

Whether you’re fixing the old or building something new, it all starts with your hands. Use the tools you’ve crafted, the materials you’ve gathered, and build every structure step by step. Full freedom to decorate, design, and create a farm that’s truly yours.

🪚 Clear, Craft, and Expand Your Farm

Clear the land, gather raw materials, and start building your farm from the ground up. Trim overgrowth, chop down trees, and turn logs into planks, stakes, and other essentials.

There are 6 different crafting benches in the game each representing a different production process. From cooking to smelting and everything in between!

Use tools, machines, and vehicles! From basic gear to powerful tractors and ATVs, to get the job done your way. Everything you use, you earn. Everything you build, you built for a reason.

Use your resources to craft everything from simple decorations to functional structures that store goods, process items, or unlock new features. Upgrade your tools, expand your options, and shape the farm your way, piece by piece.
