The start of a long and brutally cold winter heralds a changing of monarchs.

The Winter Kingdom Isenvindar holds a succession ceremony in those years marked by unusually harsh winters.

Three siblings stand as potential successors this time: the eldest, a cheerful wanderer; the second, a stern swordsman; and the youngest, a wise and kind soul.
