Why Early Access?

“We want to develop War Untold with the community's involvement. Balance patches, unit roster changes, and level design are all critical features we want to fine tune, and this is best done through suggestions from our players.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We are planning on an Early Access period of 3-4 months. However, we will extend the development period if needed to accomplish all the features on our roadmap.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Throughout the Early Access period, we plan on adding more maps, more units, and new campaign scenarios. We also plan on improving the unit and enemy AI, including both pathfinding optimizations and strategic decision making. Multiplayer functionality is also planned on our roadmap for 1.0. Most of all, we want to hear what the community's most desired updates are, so we can plan our roadmap accordingly.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“War Untold is currently a fully playable game, complete with all the core features we set out to complete. A diverse selection of complementary units, base building mechanics, and a unique terrain system offer many unique playstyles. The campaign stretches across 30 hand-crafted scenarios, all of which are also available for custom games in the skirmish mode.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan on slightly raising the price upon the 1.0 release, but not at any time during Early Access.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We check in on the Discord server daily, and we hope you join us there as well! We are looking forward to feedback suggestions from our players, whether that be bug reports, balance suggestions, unit additions, or economy changes.”
