Idle Gods puts you in the shoes of a newborn God.

You begin with limited time, skills and powers and as you harvest souls you increase your faithful followers, unlocking new and deadly powers, unlocking buffs and Acts Of God to become the one all-powerful deity!

Each new day begins with some powers and a time limit (time works differently for Gods, you know?) You must choose your Act Of God and smite the nonbelievers in the world below before time runs out. Even for a God, things are not always as easy as it seems. Priests may protect those around them. Faithful believers may get in the way of a clean kill. An innocent puppy might wander out in front of your fire tornado.

No one wants to kill puppies. Even Gods.

Unlock new skills and buffs by spending souls and followers. A few followers is an easy price to pay for a great white shark on a skateboard. You have to spend souls to gain souls! Other skills and buffs include increasing the time you have to harvest per day, increasing the power of your Acts Of God (for example, making a REALLY violent sneeze!) and buffing the ammo count of your powers. All of which will help you with your ultimate goal - infinite powers!

Unlock new areas where nonbelievers congregate; parks, city blocks, restaurants, campsites, temples, human sacrifice party’s… the usual places. There are hundreds of areas to explore and lots of places to practice smiting the mortals. Some powers work better in some locations that others, and you’ll need to experiment to see which smites are optimised for the location you’re in.

Can all dinosaurs swim? If you think the answer is “no” then maybe think twice before releasing a pack of velociraptors into a public swimming pool.
