The current plan is to aim for a full release by the end of 2027, but the exact schedule is still uncertain. I plan to continue improving Shadow of Backrooms, redesigning the levels and expanding the game. I am looking into the possibility of adding a story in the full version, which could extend the development time.

It is planned that the full version of Shadow of Backrooms will be significantly more extensive than the Early Access version. I plan to add new levels with unique liminal environments and expand the narrative depth of the game. I also plan to improve the puzzle mechanics and further optimize the overall gameplay.

During the Early Access phase, I plan to release updates with new content and optimizations based on feedback from the community. My plan is to gradually expand and refine the game into the best possible version of Shadow of Backrooms.

Mikä on Early Access -version tila tällä hetkellä?

The current Early Access version of Shadow of Backrooms already offers a playable experience with several explorable levels. Players can navigate eerie, abandoned rooms, solve puzzles and escape from entities. The plan is to refine many aspects - including level design, entity AI and overall performance.

I plan to continue improving the gameplay, expanding the content and enhancing the game experience through future updates.

The plan is to offer Shadow of Backrooms free of charge for the time being. It is also planned to gradually increase the price as the game is further developed with updates and additional story elements.

As a solo developer, community feedback is especially important to me. Players can share bug reports, suggestions, and ideas directly in the Steam comments or on other platforms. Besides Steam, I plan to be active on Discord, TikTok, and YouTube to share updates, gather feedback, and engage with the community.
