This is a demo for the upcoming game Wiccatrix.

Wiccatrix is a story driven action role playing game where you play as the goat herder Catsear. It has a unique spell crafting system that lets you create your own spells. Your goal is to travel through the lands of Westerra, meet with folk, and complete quests that will allow you to progress through the storyline. Along the way you will encounter enemies, puzzles and lands to explore with characters that you will engage with through audio dialogue. 

In this demo you will be able to play the first two renewal cycles of content that will be in the complete game.

A Renewal Cycle consists of  Catsear's journey through 12 areas completing a series of quests integral to the storyline given out by various characters. Once the quests are completed you will be given access to The Wintermoon Caldera. This is where you will enter a trial to defeat an obstruction placed there by the bad guys (The Void). Once the obstruction is defeated, you will leave the Caldera and arrive back at Jamnapari Sound where you started completing a cycle. Each time you complete a cycle, All the characters will age including Catsear and the next part of story will unfold and with it a new set of challenges.  

This demo only has two cycles. Once you complete the demo you should have a feel for what the full version of the game will be like. We anticipate that the full game will have a total of twelve cycles but will likely be released with 6 - 8 and possibly another 4 - 6 later on as dlc or another version. The demo will also be lacking a few features that the full game will have, including settings panel and Post Mortem feature (stats, achievements, leader board) that will both be added to the full version. 

The game was developed to be played with an X input (X Box) controller but it can be played with a keyboard if you don't have a controller (but a controller is preffered).

There is a Getting Started guide for the demo that is worth checking out if you get stuck. It has some basic info that will help you get going. Also the world is fairly big. Not MMORPG big, but big enough to get lost in so stick to the path and you should find your way around without too much trouble.  There are no mini maps, just your own adventuring ability but after you complete one cycle everything will start to become familiar.

And one more thing, if you see anything like a circling wolf going nowhere or townsfolk and cursed trying to move but going nowhere, well that's one of the many bugs that you will find that I hope to remedy in the full version. Feel free to post any bugs you find in the community section and mock my poor coding skills.
