What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

Mina, while primarily offering a story-focused single-player experience, also aims to include a competitive online mode for players to enjoy with friends. Early Access will allow us to gather community feedback in order to deliver a balanced, fun, and innovative multiplayer experience.

The online mode will let players choose from Koray, Kagan, Mina, Devrim, Alara, or Aylin and join one of two distinct teams:
  • Simulation Preservation Team
  • Escape from the Simulation Team

Each team faces unique advantages and disadvantages across different maps, enhancing strategic play and replayability. During Early Access, we will balance this system, optimize maps and mechanics based on player feedback, and refine the overall online experience.

In summary, with Early Access:

  • We will balance the online mode using community feedback.
  • We will test the impact of different maps on gameplay to ensure fair competition.
  • We will collaborate with the community to develop new character abilities, escape scenarios, and protection mechanics.

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We plan to keep Mina in Early Access for approximately 12 months. During this period, we’ll work closely with the community to expand the multiplayer mode, optimize map balance, test new character mechanics, and make improvements based on player feedback.

Our goal is to provide a balanced, seamless, and complete experience by the time we launch the full version. Throughout Early Access, we’ll introduce new content and refine the balance among different maps, as well as between the simulation escape and protection teams.

The Early Access timeline may be adjusted based on player feedback. Community input is extremely important to us, and we’ll direct our development process accordingly.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“During Early Access, our primary goal is to establish the core mechanics and ensure a balanced, enjoyable multiplayer experience. Based on community feedback, we’ll make various improvements to the mechanics, maps, gameplay dynamics, and character abilities.

We plan to offer more extensive content, advanced mechanics, and additional game modes in the full release. However, we’re committed to an organic development process shaped by player feedback.

Key Differences Planned for the Full Release:

  • New Maps:
Explore different areas of the simulation, providing strategic advantages for both teams.
  • More Character Abilities:
Add new strategic mechanics tailored to the protection and escape teams.
  • Improved Balancing:
Implement updates based on player feedback for maps and team mechanics.
  • Story Integration:
Create a more seamless connection between the multiplayer mode and the single-player narrative.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current Early Access version offers a deep, seamless, and engaging narrative experience across 10 chapters in single-player mode. Players join Koray and Kagan on their journey to uncover whether the simulation is real, encountering mystery, psychological tension, and choice-based scenarios along the way.

At this stage, the core gameplay mechanics are already in place, allowing players to influence the course of events through their decisions. In some chapters, you’ll even have the chance to play as Mina, gaining a different perspective on the unfolding story.

During Early Access, we will refine the storytelling, gameplay dynamics, and mechanics based on player feedback. We also plan to expand the game world by introducing a multiplayer mode.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The price of the game will change during and after Early Access. We plan to increase the price once the online mode is added.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Player feedback and suggestions will play a major role in the development of Mina.

  • We’ll create a Discord community where players can reach us directly and share their ideas.
  • We’ll keep everyone updated on the development process by posting regular content on Instagram and YouTube.
  • We’ll conduct surveys to gather opinions on mechanics, story progression, and the multiplayer mode.
  • We’ll host Q&A sessions to address players’ questions and enhance community engagement.

About This Game

Mina is an action-adventure game developed and published by Anopia Games, offering immersive gameplay and a deeply woven narrative. Players step into the role of Koray, a psychiatrist investigating his patient Kagan’s claim that their worlds are simulations. During this journey of discovery, they cross paths with Mina, who once tried—but ultimately failed—to escape the simulation.

Story

  • Koray initially meets Kagan’s belief that their worlds are simulations with skepticism. However, through his sessions with Kagan and the journeys they undertake together, he begins to question whether Kagan’s claim might actually be true. During this process, they encounter Mina—who has previously attempted (and failed) to escape the simulation, leading to her punishment. Mina’s traumatic past and her sensitivity to social injustice add depth to the storyline. In certain chapters, players will take control of Mina herself, experiencing events from her perspective.

  • Far from being a mere escape tale, Mina is an experience that grapples with profound philosophical questions, addresses social issues, and is shaped by the player’s choices.

Gameplay Features

  • Third-Person Perspective (TPS): Explore a detailed world that offers a cinematic experience.

  • Dual-Perspective Narrative: Primarily guide Koray, but in select segments, step into Mina’s shoes to see events from a different angle.

  • Rich Story and Deep Characters: Uncover each character’s hidden secrets as you seek out the truth.

  • Choices and Consequences: Your decisions can bring you closer to—or drive you away from—God!

  • Puzzle and Exploration Mechanics: Locate hidden clues, piece together lost memories, and untangle the knots in Koray’s mind.

  • Psychological Thriller Elements: Walk the fine line between reality and delusion.

Atmosphere and Themes

  • Psychological Thriller: A thought-provoking narrative that urges you to question reality.

  • Mystery and Manipulation: How much can you really trust what you see?

  • Deep Character Backstories: Explore the shattered memories of both Koray and Mina.

  • Mind Games and Hallucinations: Not everything you see is as it appears.

Why Mina?

If you’ve enjoyed games like Alan Wake, Silent Hill, Heavy Rain, or Hellblade, Mina will take you on a journey that tests you both emotionally and psychologically. As you wrestle with your own mind, a new mystery awaits around every corner.

Do you want reality—or just another story? Make your choice… But remember, every choice comes at a price.
