A játékról

Talystro is a roguelite-deckbuilder where you combine dice and cards to defeat your enemies. An army of numbers that comes to life stands between our unlikely hero, the Math Mouse, and the wicked Necrodicer, who has started the forbidden ritual of Talystro.

A Number's Game

Instead of chipping away at your enemy's HP, you'll instead try and match their value to instantly take them out. Your cards contain one or more unfinished calculations and you'll use your dice to complete them.

Outnumbered

The Necrodicer has begun the ritual of Talystro, and are pouring twisted and corrupted beings into this world in the form of numbers. Each combat encounter you'll face multiple of these foul beasts, and it's up to you to determine how to best deal with them and in what order!

Weapons of Choice

Collect, upgrade and enchant your cards. As your enemies grow in value (and numbers!), finding cards to give you the flexibility to deal with them will be key. The calculations on your cards often refer to variables, like the number of dice for instance; Since these variables change during the round, the order of operations will be important -- countless possibilities and room for optimization! The cards can also contain modifiers, resources and spell effects.

When the Cat's Away

Between each combat encounter, you'll get to visit the shop where you can spend your well-earned gold. The shop will consist of randomly drafted modules, where you can do all the aforementioned card-stuff, upgrade your dice, acquire artifacts and tend to your wounds.

The Quest

The game will consist of 3 acts each culminating in a Unique Boss encounter. We're also aiming for ascension-style modifiers to add increased difficulty in subsequent playthroughs.
