「I want to involve players early to help shape the game’s mechanics, balance, and content. Widlands Dominion is playable, but still evolving. I'm adding new enemies, tile types, and abilities, and feedback will help refine combat, difficulty, and replayability. Early Access lets me improve the game with the community before final release.」

「I plan to expand the locations and add more enemy types, tile variants, and environmental objects.」

「The current version features 3 distinct locations, each with unique enemies and bosses. It includes a variety of units, enemy types, tile variations, environmental objects, and perks—offering around 15 hours of content. Still, it's not enough to justify a full release just yet.」

「Yes, price will be higher after Early Access. There is a lot of content/systems still in development. It would be rude to charge a higher price during Early Access, while these systems are yet unavailable.」

「I’ll be listening closely to player feedback and plan to implement many of their suggestions. The game will continue to evolve far beyond the original prototype, which was loosely inspired by Into the Breach and Battle Brothers. Most changes will come directly from discussions on the Steam forums and our official Discord.」

Fights unfold on a grid-based battlefield filled with unpredictable tile effects. Adapt your strategy, position your units carefully, and guide your team through deadly encounters. The fate of the Widlands depends on your command.

Key Features

Build your warrior band by recruiting heroes from distinct classes, each with their own unique skills and combat roles.

Level up your heroes through battle, upgrade their stats, and choose from a wide range of powerful perks to shape your strategy.

Permadeath. All warriors who fall in battle stay dead every fight carries real consequences.
Chart your path through the Widlands in a roguelike structure with branching routes, randomized encounters, and increasing danger.
Battle across dynamic environments where certain tiles trigger traps, curses, forced movement, or other effects that can shift the tide of combat.
Face a diverse enemy roster, each with unique equipment, abilities, and perks that challenge your tactical thinking.
Encounter different final bosses at the end of each run each presenting a unique threat and requiring a different approach.
Spend earned reputation and gold points between runs to unlock stronger warriors and expand your options for future expeditions.

Mature Content Description

The game revolves around killing enemies on grid-based battlefields. This results in a mild gore such as blood splatters or blood pools, but gore certainly isn't focus of the game.
