Long ago, there was a group of scholars on a journey.

They were approached by a stranger offering this forbidden knowledge.
A powerful god who guided them along a mysterious path.
But the god was not granting a gift.

It was delivering a punishment.

What they entered was not heaven, but a place of decay.
The Ashen plane—a hollow reflection devoid of life, a colorless sky filled with nothing but vibrant ash drifting through the stagnant air.

What happened next changes with each telling.
But always, one left.
And the others remained behind.

Three girls chased that same ancient myth.
They met strangers at the end of a long, overgrown path.
A door to another plane was opened.

And with one misstep, their lives were shattered.
