You have but one job: Consulting clients in matters of Ritomancy; the esoteric practice of channeling Unseen to devise powerful rituals. This is of course no simple task; you will find yourself scouring forgotten tomes and unearthing dusty grimoires in your relentless pursuit of Unseen knowledge in this uniquely text-based and lore-driven lovecraftian mystery game.

Become a master Ritomancer

• Draw upon your accumulated knowledge of Unseen to rituals that will make your clients' every wish come true.

• Experiment with a dynamic system of crafting rituals to curate a library of rituals for any situation.

• Manage your archive of Locugraphs - scrolls anchoring rituals to our world, ensuring that their Unseen potency remains under control.

Study Forgotten Tomes

• Dive into dozens of individually written works of short-form fiction, each hiding its own set of clues about a sprawling pantheon of Unseen forces.

• Identify key themes and pieces of symbolism to use in crafting your rituals; what role does salt play? When is a triangle an appropriate shape to use? Which rituals are better performed during a full moon?

• Deal with arcane afflictions infecting your texts, as you interact with and stumble upon increasingly dangerous and ancient manifestations of Unseen, you may suddenly find yourself with a book that spews darkness, harbors portals to unknown dimensions, or whispers to you at night.

Explore Old Umbrage

• Manage your crew as they explore the sprawling complex of Old Umbrage, a centuries-abandoned mystery ominously located right beneath The Flickering Flame.

• Provide your crew with powerful rituals to aid them in fending off the lingering manifestations of Unseen that infest these long-forgotten halls.

• While exploring Old Umbrage may prove challenging, the knowledge imparted not only by any texts your crew may find, but also by their reports of the locations themselves, will prove invaluable in your journey as The Proprietor.

Manage Your Reputation

• While your services are highly sought-after in Polaris, this also means that clients come to The Flickering Flame with high expectations. Let them down, and the word will spread.

• Not all who seek The Proprietor's services are well-intentioned. It is therefore your duty to determine who is worthy of your services and who is best to turn away, no matter how much tempting their offer may be. Historically, greedy proprietors have not lived to retire.

The world of Unseen holds many secrets, and as The Proprietor it is your solemn duty to uncover them.
