Speedrun Inspired Movement

BAIONLENJA is an atmospheric FPS where you combine the most overpowered and skill based movement mechanics of all time. Inspired by Source Engine movement tricks, you explore the research facility with powerful versions of B-Hopping, Rocket Jumping and Airstrafing. No earlier experience is needed: Audio and Visual feedback will teach you each technique until you feel like a speedrunner.

STORY

Fossil of an unknown creature was discovered by the BAIONLENJA corporation. Once they began to disturb the fossil, a dormant consciousness within lashed out with disastrous consequences. Researchers soon realized that the brain of the fossil is still intact; holding schematics of strange machines called MECHANOIDS and memories of a time beyond ours.

You do not know who or what you are, but you can hear the fossil calling out to you, beckoning you to venture into the undersea facility of the BAIONLENJA corporation.

The fossil calls you by the name: SPIRIT.

MOVEMENT

• B-Hopping (Autohop with visual & audio feedback)

• Air Strafing (Same as in Source, but acceleration is cranked way up)

• Blade Jumping (Melee Rocket jumping with no self-damage or ammo)

• Surfing Ramps/Trimping (Combine with B-Hopping and Blade Jumping for huge jumps)

• No speed caps or limits (Go as fast as your skill allows)
  
  Easy to learn with infinite skill potential. BAIONLENJA will teach you or sharpen your existing skills with specially tuned values to reward skill expression and allow truly insane speeds once you master the movement.

EXPLORATION

• Unique aesthetic calling back to the ps2 era sound and graphic design.

• Explore the vast and interconnected facility

• Fight weird and terrifying enemies such as the MECHANOIDS

• Unlock hidden secrets and new areas with keycards

• Find upgrades and new movement abilities

COMBAT

• Weird and unique enemy designs

• Physics based combat with high damage combos

• Damage scales with speed and hitting Airshots is a guaranteed critical hit

• Juggle your enemies or yourself

• Every movement ability has built in synergy with melee and ranged combat

SOUND & MUSIC

• Breakbeat, Jungle, DnB all in the style of the early 2000’s

• Sound effects created with reverence to Source era with extra raw oomph
