Why Early Access?

“Given both my limitations as an indie developer with a small team (currently 3 people, none of them full time) we want to use whatever community support and feedback we can get. Additionally we want people to get their hands on this game as soon as possible, it's a passion project and we want that to be felt.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“~3 years, but that is likely to change as this isn't a full time project.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The goal for this game is to have
A) 10 character roster
B) rollback netcode
C) arcade mode
while A and C might be curtailed as the game continues development B will not to be compromised.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current early access build only has training and offline versus mode, with a roster of 3: Mothman, Flatwoods Monster and Goatman”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The game will not experience any big changes in price.”

“I am listening to everything, every response, every complaint I'm in your walls.

About This Game

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to see Mothman fight the Flatwoods Monster? Considered what Goatman would do in a tussle with the Chupacabra? Well now you can find out in Beasts of Mystery, The cryptid fighting game with hand drawn sprite animation and approachable gameplay taking aspects from the greatest of fighting games’ past and present. Tear through your opponents with your claws, lasers, combos, parries and more in a game lovingly crafted entirely by independent artists.

Characters
The current playable roster includes the following
-Mothman: an aggressive, well rounded character that is particularly mobile in the air
-Flatwoods Monster: a tall, long limbed keepaway character with a variety of projectiles to pester opponents with
-Goatman: an aggressive, short to mid range character that excels at mixing up the opponent.

The game currently offers the following modes

-Versus: play one on one with your friends in local multiplayer
