Validating the core mechanics: The physics rules of the four major themes, especially gravity and ice systems, need to be tested extensively to ensure a balance between challenge and fun, and to provide inspiration for the development of new themes in the future
Dynamically optimize the experience: Iteratively adjust the difficulty curve based on community data, such as level abandonment rate and average step deviation
Build a co-creation ecosystem: Let hardcore puzzle solvers participate in design discussions, and jointly polish the ideal state of "brain-burning but not stuck".”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“The current plan lasts 6-12 months, and the specific cycle will be flexibly adjusted according to player feedback and content expansion needs, and themes will be added later. Breakthrough ideas, such as new themed prototypes that are highly supported by the community, may extend the development cycle to ensure quality.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The current version already includes 72 playable levels and 3 themed mechanics, but the full version plans to focus on improvements:
Content Expansion: At least launch the Ice theme, and explore the possibility of adding "Challenge Mode" levels (e.g., time-limited/step constraints) to existing themes, adding multiple themes
System improvement: Develop advanced features based on player needs (e.g. custom level editor prototypes, Steam Workshop support testing)”

Minimalist boxes is an innovative puzzle game with Sokoban as the core gameplay, redefining the classic mental challenge through four distinct physics rules. Journey through 96 carefully designed levels, experience new puzzle-solving dimensions from traditional logic to unique themes, and feel the intellectual storm brought by each step in the seemingly simple movement of boxes.

▌Four dimensional themes, breaking through the stereotype

• Classic Echo (24 levels)

Relive the sheer fun of the golden age of Sokoban and solve retro-style puzzles with precise step counts using the most basic pushing rules in the grid maze. Each level is the ultimate test of spatial planning skills.

• Double-sided (24 off)

Step into the realm of quantum entanglement! Take control of two different cabinets at the same time and plan the best route in brainstorming! Note: Different chests need to reach different destinations, e.g. red chests cannot reach blue destinations

• Gravitational (24 levels)

When the box has gravity, the place that looks like a dead end may be the secret to clearing the level! Take control of the gravitational boxes that attract each other, make the boxes attract each other, and plan the best route! Note that normal chests cannot be attracted.

• Ice (24 levels, stay tuned)

Predict your predictions on the eternal ice! Once the block is pushed, it will slide to the end of the path, so take advantage of this feature to push the box to the end! Every slip is an irreversible game of time and space.
