Waarom vroegtijdige toegang?

'To put it simply, we feel mistakes were made with previous releases in simply developing the game without including player feedback/opinion in the development process, rather using it as a tool to gauge player satisfaction post launch. Of course not EVERY game may benefit from an "Early Access" scenario, possibly those with already well established gameplay loops and mechanics that have been used in lots of other games. However with FURŌ, with relatively novel gameplay, we feel it would be beneficial to have feedback on the game and also learn where people think we should take the game in future as we develop it.'

Hoelang blijft dit spel ongeveer in vroegtijdige toegang?

'We don't have any timelines set in stone. The reason for this is we feel for FURŌ, and games like FURŌ, that we should be open-ended about new features and functionality, and don't want to compromise the end product if a particular feature that becomes very much wanted ends up clashing with an arbitrary release date, ultimately just defeating the point of Early Access. However, we feel roughly April/May 2025 as a date to leave Early Access.'

Hoe gaat de volledige versie verschillen van de versie met vroegtijdige toegang?

'Again, putting it simply: For the Early Access release of FURŌ (its initial state), we plan to have have a selection of single player levels, which we plan to add to in time. We have various ideas for new content/features to add, some of which are partially developed and put aside during development that we'd like to return to, and some are new ideas we've simply just thought of! To name a few of the ideas we have; a level editor (with Steam Workshop support), multiplayer and some kind of tournament mode.'

Zal het spel anders geprijsd worden tijdens en na vroegtijdige toegang?

'We feel during Early Access it wouldn't be fair to charge full price for a game that simply isn't complete, despite the fact that we are planning to add new features/content. With this in mind, our plan (which may change) is to charge a price that we feel is fair for FURŌ in it's incomplete, Early Access state, and then raise the price upon reaching the "full" release.'

Hoe zijn jullie van plan de community te betrekken bij het ontwikkelproces?

'We are still learning and working this out! At the very least we will be using the community features provided by Steam to do this, but in future we will likely include other platforms such as Discord, Twitter, Reddit etc...'

A modern interpretation of the old "steady hand"/wire buzzer game from the 60's in VR!

Keep your hand steady whilst moving a ring along a wire! Dodge obstacles, be as quick as you can, and don't touch the wire too much or you'll explode!

FURŌ is currently in Early Access, and has many features planned!

Features available in Early Access:

  • Loads of levels, in a variety of bizarre environments!

  • Complete levels and challenges to unlock stars which can be spent on, well, more levels!

Planned feature additions:

  • Multiplayer (Online): Compete with other players to complete levels in the quickest time!

  • Level Editor: Create levels and share them with others!

  • Wildcards: Think of these like a variety of "weapon mods". Slow down time to traverse fast moving "platforms" easier, teleport from one part of the level to another, regenerate health, and more!
