Void Martyrs is a grimdark survival horror roguelite about a nun in space.

You play a novice space nun sent to space to repel an invading evil threatening God. While exploring abandoned ships and space cathedrals you'll be faced with moral choices as you fight to survive. Kill and be cursed, or stay pure enough to repel the biomechanical plague.

Make your way to the relic at the heart of each location, then hold-off 'evil' long enough to make it back to your ship. Craft new tools before heading to the next location. If you die a Saint, the next nun can retrieve a holy relic from your body and be blessed by powerful stigmata.

Inspired by games like Darkwood, Blasphemous and Signalis.

  • Scavenge and fight for scraps amongst space cathedrals and floating ship-like bunkers.

  • Craft tools and weapons to help you survive, alone (ish) on the edge of space. 

  • Manage your sanctity impacted by your choices. Decide between moral choices (eg. save the infected monstrous baby) vs blasphemous choices (kill stuff to survive). 

  • Endure powerful stigmatas to make you godly-enough to hold off the biomechanical plague chasing you down. 

What to expect in the DEMO:

  • A replayable, procedurally generated level to search for and collect the relic

  • 2 weapons (melee, ranged)

  • A small set of items to scavenge for and use to craft items for your survival

  • A small set of enemies to avoid, or fight, including the plague

  • No sanctity meter, or particularly blasphemous or saintly decisions
