About This Game

It's been a while since the Critter Card TCG came out and the new hotness is Critter Chips! A brand new augmented reality game that lets you find and battle Critters. Alfa the Alpaca has been saving up their money and it's time to get a CriTer (Critter Terminal) which comes with a choice of a Hangolin, Wallablaze or Aguatto Critter Buddy. With their buddy in tow, Alfa is ready for a new adventure on Holon Island full of exploring, capturing Critters and conquering the Island's Clubs.

On Holon Island, Critter battles take place in real time only pausing to let you pick your moves. Each move requires a few seconds to charge up before it's used but if a Critter is hit whilst charging they'll be interrupted! Their turn is missed, they'll gain a debuff from the Critter who attacked them and take additional damage if they're interrupted again. However, offence is the best defence, can you win battles without taking a scratch?

Building up your team of new Critters will be more varied than lowering hp and chucking capture devices. Each of the wild Critters you encounter will have a specific set of conditions to increase their download chance above 0. Inflicting poison could raise it by 10%, a blaze attack by 30% and perhaps an interrupt is 50% meaning each Critter will need some preparation to download and add to your team.

Both you and your buddy are on this adventure together! In addition to looking cute and following you around, they'll learn skills to help Alfa navigate the island. Digging for treasure, leaping up cliffs and walking on water are some of the abilities you'll be rewarded with for claiming victory over a Critter Club.

Taking on Critter Clubs will challenge your team building by getting you to defeat all the trainers and the Club Leader in one go and with limited healing. Defeat them all to meet the creator of Critter Chips and win the prize they're offering to victors of this island challenge!
