Roots Devour is a strategic exploration game centered around a card-connecting mechanism.

Play as a newborn eldritch, wandering through a silent, eerie forest shrouded in darkness.

Extend your roots to drain the blood of pitiful creatures.

Find them. Devour them.

Extending your tendrils comes at the cost of blood.

Connecting to sacrifices to harvest your lifeblood, while precious water can only be obtained through limited means.

Once the water runs dry, you shall only return to the roots.

Carefully plan your exploration and balance your use of resources and cards to venture further.

Pay attention to dead ends, unexpected surprises might be waiting there!

Step beyond the forest to explore swamps, snow peaks, and even infiltrate human settlements…

Command over a hundred different types of cards.

Enrich your deck and carefully choose where to open each card pack.

Make strategic use of special cards to pave your path towards godhood.

After each hunt, offer up blood and harvest

and gain greater power in return.

In the forest, encounter “humans” burdened with their own secrets.

then, as a higher being, alter their fates.

Will you become the unseen mastermind lurking in the shadows,

or the great faith worshipped by the ignorant?
